Go Comedy! Improv Theater

Go Comedy! Improv Theater has built its identity around three guiding principles — Integrity, Inspiration, and Innovation — and backed it up enough to win Best Comedy Club in Metro Times’ Best of Detroit readers’ poll. The format is genuinely interactive team-competition improv, built around audience suggestions, with a monthly storytelling night called “Let’s Just Say” where anyone can get up and tell a true story.

The space itself is intentionally cozy and small — reviewers consistently note there’s not a bad seat in the house — with a full bar of beer, wine, and cocktails plus a candy-and-chips-only snack menu, so eat beforehand if dinner’s the plan. There’s free parking reserved for guests just outside, and if you stay through the late show, there’s often a free bonus set afterward.
