Little Bella’s Pizza & Wine Bar

Little Bella’s Royal Oak is doing the thing this town has been quietly starving for — an intimate, old-world Italian-American spot built around a genuinely serious cocktail program. We’ve poked around a lot of downtown Royal Oak, and so far we haven’t found another cocktail bar quite like it here: the espresso martinis have a cult following for a reason, and the bartenders actually know what they’re doing.

What makes Little Bella’s worth it

We’ve been twice now, and the draw is the whole package — drinks worth lingering over, pizza that punches above where you’d expect for a place leaning this hard into vibe, and a low-lit, eclectic room tucked downstairs on the Main Street corner that makes a Tuesday feel like a night out. It’s the rare new spot that nails the feeling right out of the gate. Come for a date night, a girls’ night, or a long dinner where the second round is the whole point.
