Myomee Coffee & Dessert Cafe

Myomee Coffee & Dessert Cafe is the sweeter half of Southfield’s under-the-radar Koreatown pocket, tucked into New Seoul Plaza alongside a Korean BBQ restaurant, a soju bar, and a Korean grocery across the street. The specialty is bingsu, Korean shaved ice built from a thin, snow-like frozen milk base rather than crushed ice, piled with things like black sesame powder, homemade sweet red bean, mochi, and condensed milk — portions genuinely built for two to four people to share.

The coffee program takes itself just as seriously, running Great Lakes Coffee beans through both classic espresso drinks and in-house creations like a black tea latte and a “dirty coconut.” It’s been family-run since 2018, and the plaza setting — a K-pop merch shop next door, gacha machines by the entrance — gives it a genuinely different feel from the standard suburban coffee shop.
