The newest of the four, and the one we’re most curious about. Michigan By The Bottle opened on South Broadway in downtown Lake Orion in 2026 — a bartender at Auburn Hills told us it was brand new, and the company’s own pages back him up.
The format carries over intact: a rotating cast of Michigan’s boutique wineries, flights and glasses, bottles shelved by style to take home, small bites, no reservations needed. Two things set this one apart. It has outdoor seating, so dogs are welcome on the patio. And along with Auburn Hills it’s now open seven days a week — from four on Monday through Wednesday, later and earlier toward the weekend — which makes it a rare Oakland County wine stop that doesn’t vanish on a Monday.
We haven’t been. We spent an evening at the Auburn Hills room, liked it enough to plan a return, and this is the next one on our list — partly because downtown Lake Orion is a genuinely pleasant walk, and partly because free street parking is a small mercy.
