Rio Palace Spa brings a Brazilian-inspired treatment menu to Birmingham, with a couples massage room built around a fireplace and a water fountain — the kind of detail that turns a standard spa visit into an actual occasion. It’s a locally owned, relatively new addition to Birmingham’s spa scene, and the medi-spa side of the business operates under board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Ahmet Karaca, who spent over two decades as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital.
