Beach House Day Spa

Beach House Day Spa has been a fixture on Woodward Avenue in downtown Birmingham since 2013, women-owned by Lauren MacVean and built around the idea that a spa day should actually be a full day, not a rushed 50-minute appointment squeezed between errands. There’s valet parking (or free covered self-parking), a soundproof kids’ room if you need childcare while you disappear for a few hours, and a calming waiting area stocked with complimentary beverages and charcuterie for people celebrating something.

The service menu covers the expected range — massage, facials, waxing, a beauty bar — but the packages are where it gets interesting, bundling sauna time, HydraFacials, reflexology, and mani-pedis into a genuine half-day event rather than a single service. Group bookings and private events are clearly part of the business model, not an afterthought, which tracks with a spa that’s been a go-to for birthdays and bridal parties in Birmingham for over a decade.
