Geode Bar & Lounge

Geode is the see-and-be-seen bar inside the art-forward Daxton Hotel — a slick black-marble counter under a glittering geodesic dome, glass-walled on the downtown Birmingham corner so the whole room feels like a stage. Since the Daxton opened in 2021 it’s been one of the town’s most “in” spots for a craft cocktail, a rare wine, or a plate of lounge bites, equally good for an after-work drink or the start of a bigger evening.

The art collection alone is worth the stop; the cocktails and the people-watching seal it. We have it on our list as Birmingham’s most glamorous hotel bar — a natural for a special-occasion toast or an out-of-town guest you want to impress. Come early for golden hour, or late when it fills in.
