The HUB Stadium

Our Take

The HUB Stadium is the answer to “what do we actually DO tonight?” when nobody wants dinner-and-a-movie again. This 28,000-square-foot active-entertainment barn in Auburn Hills is built around three genuinely fun ideas: axe throwing (ten stalls, more cathartic than you’d expect), football bowling — the gloriously Michigan-born game where you chuck a football to knock down bowling pins — and virtual Topgolf swing suites. Wrap that in two full bars, a proper from-scratch kitchen that reviewers keep calling a pleasant surprise, and a stack of private event rooms, and you’ve got the rare group activity that works for a birthday, a team outing, or a first date that needs a built-in conversation starter.

You rent a lane or a stall by the hour (each fits up to eight), sign the requisite waiver, and go. It’s loud, social, and a little competitive in the best way. Set expectations for fun-over-fine — you’re here to throw axes, not to critique the plating. We’ve got it on our list as one of the best group nights out in Auburn Hills.
