River’s Edge Brewing

Our Take

Every river town deserves a brewery right on the water, and River’s Edge is Milford’s — tucked into a distinctive building on the Huron River, directly across from downtown’s Central Park. It’s the village’s own microbrewery and unofficial living room, pouring a rotating lineup of craft beers and cask-conditioned ales alongside hard ciders and even house-made wines, so the one friend who doesn’t do beer is covered. The kitchen keeps it focused and done-right: locally-sourced brats, big soft pretzels, nachos, and standout sandwiches (the Reuben has a following) — pub food with actual care, no burgers or pizza to distract from it. With indoor and riverside seating, board games and darts on hand, and a family-and-independently-owned warmth that regulars are fiercely loyal to, it’s the kind of place a quick pint turns into an afternoon. Bring the kids (they’ll fight over the pretzels), bring the dog to the patio, bring out-of-towners who want to see what makes Milford special. High on our list — and a perfect first or last stop on a downtown day.
