Every good town has its “just go to Renny’s” bar, and in Clawson that’s Renshaw Lounge — a neighborhood institution that’s been packing them in for years. It started as a dive and grew into something grander without losing the plot: 40 beers on tap (and 40 more in bottles and cans), pool tables, video games, keno, a wall of TVs for the game, and drink prices low enough that regulars swear you can still have a night out on not much. The kitchen punches well above typical bar fare, too — the pizza has a devoted following, and the burgers, fish and chips, and daily specials keep people in their regular rotation.
It’s genuinely all-ages until it isn’t: families pile in for pizza and the game early, and the crowd shifts later. Walkable, unpretentious, and reliably fun, it’s the kind of spot you’re glad to introduce out-of-towners to. We’ve got it on our list as one of Clawson‘s best hangs — and proof the town’s drinking scene has real range.
