Central Park is the green heart of downtown Milford — the riverside common that ties the whole walkable village together. Right on Main Street where the Huron River bends through town, it’s the kind of everyday public space that makes a downtown feel like a community: picnic tables and a shaded lawn for lazing, a basketball court and a volleyball court for the restless, a public restroom (never underrated), and — the best part — kayak launches and a river trail that put you straight onto the water or onto the path along it. It’s the natural staging ground for a Milford day: launch a paddle here, walk the river trail, or just plant yourself with a coffee from one of the Main Street shops and watch the town go by. Dogs are welcome, so bring yours. It’s free, it’s central, and it’s genuinely lovely — exactly the sort of unshowy, well-loved park that rewards a camera on a nice afternoon. On our list as the easygoing outdoor center of downtown Milford.
