Oakland County Farmers Market

Our Take

Waterford is home to the big one: the Oakland County Farmers Market, the county’s flagship public market, running an impressive three days a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) from May through December, and Saturdays-only in the colder months. That near-year-round schedule makes it one of the most dependable markets in the whole metro. Set on Pontiac Lake Road, it’s stocked with seasonal Michigan produce, fresh-cut flowers, herbs, baked goods, jams, honey, eggs, beef, and chicken, plus garden décor and handmade crafts — and there’s often on-site BBQ and special events to turn shopping into an outing. For Waterford’s lake country, it’s the reliable, well-stocked anchor market worth building a morning around.
