Every good downtown needs a shop that’s a little witchy in the best way, and in Pontiac that’s Spirit Rocks. This Saginaw Street storefront is equal parts crystal-and-stone shop, tarot-and-astrology corner, and holistic gathering space — the kind of place you wander into for a rose quartz and wander out of having signed up for a cacao ceremony. The shelves are the draw for browsers (crystals, stones, and metaphysical odds and ends), but what makes it more than a rock shop is the programming: tarot and astrology readings, breath-work and plant-medicine talks, couples’ cacao evenings, and a regular spot on the Friday-night art crawl. It’s welcoming and unpretentious, whether you’re a devoted crystal person or just curious enough to poke around. On our list as one of the more delightfully offbeat stops in downtown Pontiac — come for the crystals, stay for whatever’s on the events calendar.
