This is Metro Detroit’s beloved lifestyle emporium, set inside the 1941 Ambassador Roller Rink in downtown Clawson — and yes, the roller-rink bones are the whole charm: a cavernous, gloriously eclectic space packed with one-of-a-kind furniture, women’s clothing, books, toys, jewelry, and the kind of gifts you didn’t know you needed until you saw them. Staff actually skate around bringing shoppers complimentary coffee and fresh-baked cookies, which tells you everything about the sense of humor here. It’s less a store than an afternoon.

The good-cause energy is real, too — the shop is known for charity fashion shows, fundraisers, and championing local Michigan makers. Plan to lose track of time, and don’t rush the exit. It’s a perfect Clawson pairing with a coffee or a bite next door at Three Cats, the cafe inside their restored theater expansion.
