Chazzano Coffee Roasters

Chazzano is the serious-coffee corner of Berkley — a roaster and café on Twelve Mile with a bean selection that borders on overwhelming (in the best way). This is single-origin obsession territory: Ethiopian, Kenyan, Haitian, Mexican Chiapas, rotating roast profiles, and staff who will happily talk you through all of it. Order a pour-over or an espresso made with real care, or grab a bag of freshly roasted beans to take home. Coffee people consider it one of the best in the metro, full stop.

Fair warning: the hours are famously limited (daytime, and closed weekends), which locals only half-jokingly call a travesty. We have it on our list as Berkley’s destination for a lingering cup that’s actually about the coffee — come on a weekday, come curious, and let them pick your beans.
