The Rind

The Rind is the sleeper destination of Berkley — an intimate wine bar and restaurant tucked into Mongers’ Provisions, the specialty cheese, charcuterie, and wine shop it shares a roof with. That pedigree shows: a rotating list of 150-plus bottles leaning natural and biodynamic, craft cocktails with house-made ingredients, vermouths and aperitifs by the glass, and a small, seasonal food menu built around exceptional cheese — including a grilled cheese people genuinely rave about. The Detroit Free Press named it one of 2024’s best new restaurants.
