Buns and Patties

Buns and Patties is Berkley‘s smash-burger answer to a late-night craving — a simple, dialed-in Coolidge spot where the menu is short, the patties are crispy-edged, and the house-seasoned fries have earned their own small legion of devotees (more than one local claims they’d come back for the fries alone). There’s a well-liked falafel burger for the vegetarians, grilled cheese for the kids, and a kitchen that stays open genuinely late — into the small hours on weekends.

It’s counter-casual and friendly, the owners very much included. We have it on our list as Berkley’s easy group or after-hours burger stop — nothing fancy, just done right. Get a smash burger, absolutely get the fries, and thank the folks behind the counter.
